After carefully selecting and harvesting grapes from a variety of Niagara Peninsula vineyards, this wine was aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels. Its dark garnet colour and rich bouquet of black currant, leather, black cherry, black olive, smoke, sweet oak and vanilla offers hints of what's to come in this full-bodied and firm wine. Initial flavours of ripe, black fruit, tea leaves and cocoa powder are followed by spiced blackberry, chocolate and cherry on the extra-dry finish.

Clear, medium ruby colour; aromas of cassis, floral note and toast, nuts and vanilla oak; extra dry and medium-minus bodied; flavours of fragrant cassis, toast, nuts and vanilla with a soft, but balanced acidity that supports the fruit character followed by a medium, fruity finish.
