Elmer T. Lee is known for creating the very first single barrel bourbon the world has ever seen in 1984. This gold edition is proudly named after Colonel Albert B. Blanton, former distillery president, in honour of how Elmer would reminisce the way Colonel Blanton would pick up a ‘honey barrel’ to enjoy with others. The Blanton Brand was born several years down the line. 03 proof may be very limited, it remains a firm favourite amongst bourbon aficionados. The nose features hints of tobacco and spicy rye, followed by citrus notes, dark fruit and caramel and honey. The palate takes after this complex, coming with aromas of honey, tobacco and rye. As a finale, vanilla and oak round it up for a harmonious and long finish.

This whisky, like all Canadian Club products, is “barrel blended” which means that batches of unaged spirit are blended together before being put into white oak barrels. The grain recipe is the same as the standard Canadian Club, only it is aged 20 rather than 6 years.

Longbranch has been refined using charcoal from both Kentucky white oak and Texan mesquite in a nod to both mens' home states, and the bottle bears the signatures of both Russell and McConaughey in a nod to the spirit in which this bourbon was made – that of friendship and partnership.
